She had inherited four pieces of Chinese jade which turned out to have been made during the 18^th century, one of them for the then Emperor.

While the TV show is one route to a valuation, there are many reputable auction houses in the US who are likely to be able to tell you whether your piece is a long-lost treasure. Then all you have to decide is whether to keep it or sell it.
